Delta Vacations recently introduced its first packages to South Africa and with it, a special 15 percent commission to agents on all such bookings. The packages--unveiled close to six months after Delta Air Lines launched nonstop service between Atlanta and Johannesburg--include nine days and seven nights in Kruger and Cape Town, 11 days and nine nights in Mpumalanga, Durban and Cape Town and 14 days and 12 nights of South African highlights. All packages are commissionable to travel agents at a 15 percent introductory rate regardless of productivity or affiliation. A Delta Vacations spokesperson told Travel Agent that by July, the tour operator expects to announce new products in Dubai, as well as in China and Japan later this year.
