Embassy Suites attends Travel Green Tradeshow

The Embassy Suites San Luis Obispo recently attended the Department of General Services Travel Green Tradeshow in Sacramento to promote their environmental efforts.

In addition to a back-of-house recycling program, every two-room suite is equipped with a bin clearly labeling which recyclables are accepted in San Luis Obispo. CFLs save energy on lighting, and low-flow shower heads and linen programs conserve water. Outside the hotel is compost station, as well as an herb garden providing fresh rosemary and thyme. The hotel's used cooking oil is donated for biodiesel production and watermelon rinds are pickled.
