Historic Highlights of Germany Unveils Travel Agent Certification Program

Thirteen historic German cities that are members of Historic Highlights of Germany have come together to offer sixteen "Dream Routes," which are designed to assist travelers by informing and guiding--with detailed information on the historical, cultural and architectural highlights of each route--rather than selling a particular package. Besides detailed information, contact information for the tourism offices of each city is provided. A new travel agent certification program has also been developed to assist agents in selling these destinations to their clients. Agents taking a FAM trip, visiting no less than three cities, are given an orientation briefing by Executive Director of Historic Highlights of Germany Yvonne Megens and provided with detailed materials on each city. Certified agencies' contact information is then included in downloadable materials offered to consumers on the association's web site as well as listed online under each Dream Route. Visit [www.historicgermany.com].
