Mountain Travel Sobek is offering 47 new trips for 2007, the company revealed Thursday. The new trips bring the total number of offered programs to 135 for 2007, company officials said. Mountain Travel Sobek sent about 3,500 people on tours in 2005, but only about 20 percent of those guests booked through a travel agent, reported Kim Beck, director of sales and marketing. Furthermore, the majority of that 20 percent figure came from between only 8 and 10 travel agents. Noteworthy among the new tours are trips to Montenegro and Nicaragua.
