New Dolphins Experience, Room Categories at Dreams Cancun

Travel Agent was on site this week for Dreams Cancun's unveiling of its new Delphinus Dream Cancun, a program featuring six trained, 300-pound baby dolphins. For $149 a person, guests at this AMResorts property, as well as vacationers staying at another hotel, get a 15-minute tutorial and a 45-minute swimming session with the dolphins. Participants get to kiss the dolphins, dance with them, and stand on two dolphins before getting plunged into their swimming area, which is roughly the size of an Olympic-size swimming pool. Travel Agent took part in the program on Tuesday, where we had the privilege of meeting Kichpam, a female dolphin who enjoyed the experience as much as we did. We also toured the facility and stayed at one of the property's new Deluxe Dolphin View rooms. There are a total of 84 Deluxe Dolphin View rooms and Deluxe Dolphin and Ocean Front View rooms. All Deluxe Dolphin View rooms range from about $300 to $400 a night. Agents can book the Delphinus Dream Cancun for guests prior to arrival. Agents can also book the program for clients who aren't staying at the hotel. Visit [].
