The new Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ Seven Seas Explorer will host Italian chef and restauranteur Angelo Elia on a 10-night Mediterranean culinary cruise, May 11-21, 2017.
The roundtrip itinerary from Barcelona makes stops in eight cities along the Mediterranean Sea, including Malta, Portofino, Monte Carlo and more. Elia, owner and operator of South Florida restaurants, including Casa D’Angelo and Angelo Elia Pizza, Bar & Tapas, will lead guests through various dinners, wine tastings, tours and cooking demos over the course of the trip.
Highlights of the itinerary include a welcome cocktail party at the pre-arrival hotel in Barcelona; a $600 per cabin onboard credit; an opening night cocktail party with hors d’oeuvres; Chef Angelo’s one-hour wine tasting with hors d’oeuvres; two dinners with specially prepared menus by Chef Angelo; a VIP Italian vineyard wine tasting and food pairing excursion in Gaeta; live cooking demonstrations from the chef; a private food, wine and grappa tasting; and gifts including a bottle of Grappa in a limited Murano glass bottle by Bottega Alexander and a Leonidas 12-piece chocolate box. A VIP fresh market visit with the Chef Angelo in Portofino is also available for guests with certain stateroom bookings.
The Seven Seas Explorer is a 748-passenger ship with 375 luxury suite accommodations, all complete with balconies and 10 guest decks for amenities. Onboard experiences include the Canyon Ranch SpaClub, an infinity-edge pool, seven restaurants and numerous bars and lounges with entertainment.
