Eurobound Unveils New Scandinavia Package for Active Travelers

Eurobound has introduced a new 11-day “Summer Scandinavia” package for active travelers, complete with private hiking, biking and touring experiences. The custom-designed package includes deluxe and suite accommodations in boutique properties and smaller, luxury hotels chosen for their "local flavor."

Designed as an introduction to Scandinavia, the itinerary begins in Bergen and ends in Helsinki. Included are two-nights each in Bergen, Aurland, Oslo, Stockholm; an overnight cruise from Stockholm to Helsinki; and one night in Helsinki.

Private activities in Norway include a panoramic hike on the Vidden mountain plateau in Bergen, a walking tour of Bergen, an afternoon waterfall hike in Aurland in Norway’s fjord country, and a bike tour in Oslo. Also in Aurland is a full-day historical tour by ferry along the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Nærøyfjorden, competed with a gourmet picnic. During the tour, the ferry stops at small, scenic villages including Undredal, known for its many goats and cheese products plus the smallest church in northern Europe still in use.

In Stockholm, private experiences begin with an afternoon walking tour upon arrival. The next day’s visits include the Vasa Museum, home to the 1628 ship that sank on its maiden voyage; and Millesgården Museum, former island home of sculptor Carl Milles, with its sculpture park and gardens. A boat tour of Stockholm Archipelago—home to 24,000 islands—tops off the day.

Guests will enjoy an overnight cruise aboard Tallink Silja Cruiser from Stockholm to Helsinki, where they spend the final night. The itinerary concludes with a private walking food tour of Helsinki.

The package includes deluxe accommodations, private transfers, private touring and outdoor activities, lunch and half-board in Aurland, the Stockholm-Helsinki cruise in balcony cabin accommodations with breakfast, boat travel between Bergen-Flam/Aurland, and first class train from Aurland to Oslo. Oslo-Stockholm flight plus optional private boat from Bergen-Aurland are additional.
