Sun Trips Expects New Owner To Repay Agents

Crystal Hospitality Holdings, an investment group which plans to acquire Sun Trips, says it plans to repay agents the commissions the San Jose-based tour operator owes them. That's the word from Victor Bao, president of the Valorem Group, hired by Crystal to develop a turnaround strategy for the beleaguered Sun Trips. Bao said Sun Trips owes agents more than $100,000 in unpaid commissions. He expects the sale to Crystal to go through in about a week, and once new management is in place, Sun Trips will become "100 percent agent-focused," he added.
