Three luxury travel companies and properties announced a partnership which will provide a comprehensive tour of the three Southeast Asian countries that compose the region of Indochina. The three brands teaming up are Aqua Expeditions, a luxury river cruise company; Soneva Kiri, a sustainable luxury resort in Thailand; and The Siam Hotel, a premier property in Bangkok. The Secrets of Indochina tour plans to take travelers on a luxurious curated experience through Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand.
The centerpiece of the experience takes place aboard the Aqua Mekong, one of Aqua Expeditions’ luxury river cruise ships. After selecting a three-, four- or seven-night itinerary, guests onboard the 20-suite ship will bear witness to the natural wonders of Cambodia and Vietnam. Voyaging down the Mekong River, guests can see famous scenery and make stops at off-board excursions twice daily, which include local villages (among them a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve ‘floating village’), bird reserves, traditional markets, silversmiths and temples. Before or after the cruise, guests can fly on Soneva’s private eight-seater Cessna to Soneva Kiri, which is the closest beach resort to Siem Reap. There, they can relax on Thailand’s fourth largest (but least populated) island, Koh Kood. The resort has an environmentalist theme as it provides authentic Thai experiences and organic, locally sourced food.
