Vacation Express Brings Jamaica, Bahamas Nonstop Flights Back to Cleveland

Nonstop flights to the Caribbean from the midwest are a relative rarity, but Cleveland-area travelers can new get an air-inclusive package with Vacation Express.

The tour operator has announced charter flights between Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Grand Bahama Island in the Bahamas. The Jamaica and Bahamas flights are the first nonstop out of Cleveland in more than a decade, company officials say.

Flights will depart for Punta Cana every Monday between May 15 and July 31, 2017, for Vacation Express’ six-night packages, while Jamaica flights will depart Saturdays between May 27 and July 1, 2017. For four-night vacations packages to Grand Bahama Island, flights will depart on various days of the week between July 3 and August 2, 2017. The schedule is keyed toward spring and summer vacations for families and honeymooners, in particular.

Punta Cana and Jamaica flights will be operated by Swift Air, while the Bahamas flights will be flown by Sunwing Airlines. Both carriers fly Boeing 737 aircraft. 

Vacation Express also announced new vacation packages with three luxury resorts in Jamaica: Royalton Blue Waters, Royalton Negril, and the Hideaway at Royalton Negril. Vacation Express offers cash rewards, commissions, free nights, and other incentives to agents.
