AA, American Eagle Debut Nonstop JFK to Five Cities Service

New Year, Copacabana Beach, Rio de JaneiroTravelers coming from or passing through New York can now take advantage of American Airlines and American Eagle's daily nonstop service each way between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and five new destinations. In addition to introducing two daily flights to Fort Lauderdale, American Airlines offers passengers to Brazil's Rio de Janeiro the chance to earn double or triple AAdvantage miles, while American Eagle, American's regional affiliate, invites travelers to earn double miles for roundtrip travel to Norfolk, VA, Cincinnati and Indianapolis.

New service includes two daily flights to Fort Lauderdale, both on a 140-seat Boeing Super MD-80. From New York, Flight 663 will depart at 7:35 a.m. to arrive in Florida at 10:55 a.m. Then, Flight 821 will depart at 3:35 p.m. to arrive at 7:05 p.m. Returning to New York, Flight 664 will leave Fort Lauderdale at 11:45 a.m. to arrive at JFK at 2:40 p.m. Then, Flight 824 will depart at 7:55 p.m. to arrive at 10:50 p.m.

For service to Brazil, American Airlines has launched one daily flight to Rio (GIG), aboard 219-seat Boeing 767-300s featuring 28 Business Class and 191 Economy Class seats. From New York, Flight 255 departs at 10:30 p.m. to arrive in Rio at 11:45 a.m. the next day. Return service on Flight 256, beginning Friday, November 19, will leave Rio at 11:30 p.m. to arrive at 6:40 a.m. the next day. Through December 10, 2010, passengers can earn triple miles in Business Class and double miles in Economy class by registering at www.aa.com/offers prior to travel, using the promotion code, BRZ5K, for round trip travel.

Through February 15, 2011, clients can also earn double miles for travel between New York JFK and Norfolk, Cincinnati and Indianapolis using the promotion codes for Norfolk (NYORF), Cincinnati (NYCVG) or Indianapolis (NYIND) at www.aa.com/enroll. Flights include the daily flight to Norfolk International Airport on Flight 3695, departing JFK at 5:25 p.m. to arrive at Norfolk 6:55 p.m. Returning to New York, Flight 3696 departs at 2:30 p.m. to arrive at 3:50.

To Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), Flight 4329 departs New York JFK at 5 p.m. to arrive at 7:25 p.m. Then, from Cincinnati, the return trip on Flight 4277 departs at 12:55 p.m. to arrive at 2:55 p.m. To Indianapolis International Airport (IND), passengers can depart from JFK on Flight 4136 to arrive at 7:25 p.m. Returning to New York, Flight 4124 departs at 11:55 a.m., arriving at 1:59 p.m.
