Air France Announces New Caribbean Routes from N.Y. and Montreal

Air France is expanding its flight schedule to leisure destinations this winter with the introduction of two North American routes to the Caribbean. Starting November 23, 2021, travelers can fly from Montreal (YUL) and New York (JFK) to Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe.

An archipelago located in the southern Caribbean Sea, Guadeloupe is made up of five islands, with the main two geographically resembling a butterfly. Reopened to vaccinated U.S. visitors on June 11, Guadeloupe is known for its wide selection of activities, which include hiking up the Soufriere Volcano, diving, island hopping or sunbathing on its beautiful pristine beach shores.

Air France’s Guadeloupe to Montreal flight will fly once a week between Pointe-à-Pitre and Montreal, with flight AF624 departing Pointe-à-Pitre at 3:20 p.m. and arriving in Montreal at 7:50 p.m. on Tuesday and AF625 departing Montreal at 1:00 p.m. and arriving in Pointe-à-Pitre at 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday.

The week of December 6, 2021, Air France will add a second weekly flight to the route. AF624 will depart Pointe-à-Pitre at 4:20 p.m. and arrive in Montreal at 8:50 p.m. on Friday, while AF625 will depart Montreal at 1:00 p.m. and arrive at Pointe-à-Pitre at 6:50 p.m. on Saturday.

Air France’s Guadeloupe to New York flight will begin operating November 24, 2021. The airline will fly twice weekly between Pointe-à-Pitre and New York. AF622 will depart Pointe-à-Pitre at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday and arrive at New York at 8:10 p.m. the return flight will be operated the next day with AF623 departing New York at 7:40 a.m. and reach Pointe-à-Pitre at 1:05 p.m.

AF622 between Pointe-à-Pitre to New York will depart at 4:10 p.m. and arrive at 8:20 p.m. on Saturday, while AF623 from New York to Pointe-à-Pitre will depart at  7:50 a.m. and arrive at 1:15 p.m. on Sunday.

Both routes will be operated by Air France’s Airbus A320 aircraft equipped with Business and Economy cabins. With 168 seats, those who opt for a business cabin will get to experience elevated service, including a dedicated catering service, access to business class lounges, and other amenities. Middle seats in business class are also blocked for extra comfort.
