Air Liban, Lebanon's national carrier, has begun the process toward joining the SkyTeam Alliance, the airline partnership that includes Northwest, KLM and Air France, among others. In total, eight airlines are currently part of SkyTeam. Reportedly, Air France will sponsor Air Liban in the process to join SkyTeam. The process takes one to two years.
