Air Mile Usage Periods Getting Shorter

Some airlines are cutting back the time allotted to use frequent-flier miles, Kiplinger.com reports. Beginning December 31, Delta SkyMiles will expire in accounts inactive for two years. On January 31, US Airways will give frequent fliers 18 months to utilize miles.
