Air Tahiti Nui announced a new winter schedule featuring daily service from Los Angeles International Airport to Faa'a International Airport in Papeete, Tahiti, with a total of 11 nonstop flights per week. From October 29, 2007 through March 30, 2008, flights departing Los Angeles at 11:55 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings will arrive in Papeete the next morning at 6:25 a.m., eliminating a forced overnight in Tahiti for those wishing to directly connect to other islands. Saturday and Sunday service will depart LAX at the traditional midday times while Tuesday and Thursday flights will leave in the early evening at 6:40 p.m. In addition, four flights per week will depart at 4:25 p.m. and arrive in Tahiti at 10:55 p.m. The return schedule from Tahiti also offers 11 nonstop flights per week to Los Angeles.
