Airlines Add Service for Big Game

The upcoming matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints has influenced AirTran Airways, American Airlines and Delta Air Lines to add extra flights into, and out of, South Florida for the Super Bowl. Whether it's into Miami or Fort Lauderdale, travelers and NFL fans now have extra options for the weekend.

American's additional flights on Friday, February 5 include a nonstop flight from New Orleans to Fort Lauderdale, as well as a nonstop flight from Indianapolis to Miami. After the game, additional return flights out will be on Monday, February 8, and include two nonstops to New Orleans (one from Miami and one from Fort Lauderdale), as well as an extra flight to Indianapolis from Miami.

As the official airline of the Colts, AirTran Airways is adding flights between Indianapolis and Miami on February 5. Another flight to Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport on February 7 gets fans in town at 10:40 a.m. on game day. The airline also is adding a flight from each airport to take fans home on February 8.

Delta Air Lines is adding flights to and from Indianapolis and New Orleans to Florida on February 4 and February 5 from Indianapolis to Atlanta, to go with the eight flights it has. Delta flies 11 daily flights to Miami from Atlanta.

For the day after the game, Delta is adding two nonstop flights from Miami to Indianapolis, including a redeye.

Delta is adding a nonstop flight on February 5 to Miami from New Orleans and two nonstop flights to New Orleans from Miami on February 8.
