All Nippon to Launch Discount Airline

All Nippon Airways (ANA) plans to launch a discount airline by 2009 to compete against low-cost competitors. The Japanese airline will seek to attract travelers seeking affordable air travel, while still maintaining its existing customer base, the company said at a press conference Jan. 24.
