Amadeus and TACA Sign Agreement

Amadeus announced today a full content agreement with TACA International Airlines. The five-year agreement guarantees access to the fares and inventory TACA makes available through its consumer web site, direct sales offices and third-party sites.

Amadeus travel agencies worldwide now have guaranteed access to the fares and inventory that TACA makes available to the public through its consumer web site and its direct sales offices, as well as through third-party sites. TACA’s subsidiary airlines LACSA, AVIATECA and TACA Peru are also included in this agreement.

“Agencies are important partners in the air travel value chain. At TACA, we’re proud of the strong relationship we have with agencies, as evidenced by them selecting TACA in 2008 as the Leading Airline in Mexico & Central America at the World Travel Awards. As we extend our full content to agencies, we look forward to an even closer partnership in meeting the travel needs of those who already know and enjoy our service, and of those who will try our product for the first time.” said Matt Vincett, vice president Commercial, TACA Airlines.

“This agreement reinforces our commitment to efficient distribution solutions for airlines and peace-of-mind and stability for travel agencies who can develop long-term plans knowing that they have guaranteed access to TACA’s content for the next five years,” said Decius Valmorbida, director Latin America, Amadeus.

Amadeus has over 130 agreements which enable travel agents to access airlines’ full inventory. This represents over 255 million bookings a year, or 70 percent of all airline bookings sold by Amadeus travel agencies worldwide.
