American Airlines Launches Moscow Service

American Airlines says it will begin nonstop service from Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) to Moscow's Domodedovo International Airport (DME) on June 2. The route, which is a new one for the airline, will be provided on a 225-seat, three-class (first, business and coach/economy) Boeing 777 aircraft.

American Airlines yesterday announced that it is cutting capacity for domestic flights in the fourth quarter of this year, after the busy summer season and that it is charging $15 for each first checked bag for domestic flights. The charge does not pertain to those with elite frequent-flyer status.
