American Airlines, PayPal Cut Deal

American Airlines is offering customers the ability to pay for their tickets with PayPal for ticket purchases made on The new PayPal option on allows customers to fund purchases from their PayPal account utilizing their credit card, debit card, bank account, or PayPal account balance. Purchases are both secure, and speedy, since customers do not have to re-enter any financial information. The PayPal option is free and available to customers in the U.S., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

When purchasing travel on, customers simply select the PayPal option. They’ll be temporarily directed to PayPal’s secure website to log into their account and confirm the transaction or to enroll if they don’t have a PayPal account (enrollment is free). “American Airlines is committed to offering customers more choices and convenience when they purchase travel on,” said Derek DeCross, American’s managing director of interactive marketing. “PayPal certainly fills that bill since it gives customers several options in funding their online purchase, and it allows them to pay in a secure and expeditious manner.”
