American Eagle Debuts Nonstop New York-Charlotte, N.C. Service

Charlotte Main Library, North CarolinaToday, American Eagle Airlines launched three daily nonstop flights between New York's LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). This route will take place on the CRJ-700 jet aircraft and will feature the airline's new First Class service.

The regional American Airlines affiliate has two scheduled morning flights from LGA, departing 8:30 a.m., to get in at 10:35 a.m., and 2:30 p.m. arriving at 4:35 p.m. The afternoon flights leaves at 2:30 p.m., which gets in at 4:35, and 7:40 p.m., setting down at 9:50 p.m.

From CLT, in the morning, the first flight leaves as 6 a.m. for a 7:50 a.m. arrival, and the second flight is scheduled for an 11:05 a.m. departure, getting in at 1 p.m. On Sunday, the 6 a.m. flight will depart an hour later. In the afternoon, the 5:05 p.m. flight touches down to LGA at 6:59 p.m.

The 25 CRJ-700 aircraft are equipped with a premium cabin. Working with the plane's manufacturer, Bombardier, the airline designed the cabin's custom leather seating, including four-way adjustable headrests, ergonomically-contoured back and seat cushions and an articulated seat bottom, enabling passengers to recline with less impact on the legroom of passengers seated behind them.
