American Takes A Bite of the Big Apple

American Airlines on Thursday said over the next few weeks it plans to blitz New Yorkers with new flight routes, offers and promotions. Beginning April 10, American will add new service from LaGuardia Airport to Cincinnati, Raleigh/Durham, NC, and Louisville, KY. Later this summer, the carrier is adding a sixth daily flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport to San Francisco, as well as new service from JFK to Las Vegas in September. American later this year also has plans to increase the number of weekly roundtrips between JFK and Port-au-Prince, Haiti and Caracas, Venezuela. In recent months, American also has upgraded lounges at JFK, LaGuardia and Newark International in New Jersey; added more self-service check-in machines; and invested in expanding its fleet.
