Brightline Hosts Travel Advisor FAM

Brightline (soon to be Virgin Trains) demonstrated its train-to-port program for a group of travel advisors Sunday, October 20. The advisors were visiting PortMiami to tour the new Scenic Eclipse.

Connecting from the Brightline West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale stations, the advisors experienced the train line’s onboard product before traveling from Virgin MiamiCentral to PortMiami via the company’s rideshare partner, Lyft. The commissionable train-to-port package allows clients to park their car, check-in and check their luggage at three Brightline stations before boarding at any of South Florida’s three cruise ports. Brightline said it is also currently in discussions with PortMiami to add a station directly at the port.

The demonstration came soon after Brightline rolled out a new Travel Advisor Program, which provides 20 percent commission to registered travel agents when booking reservations on Brightline. Further, travel professionals have access to the lowest published fares, access to manage reservations and self-service ticket changes, as well as monthly reporting provided by a dedicated Brightline Account Manager, the company said.

Brightline is a privately owned, operated and maintained rail system that currently connects downtown Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. Construction connecting South Florida to Orlando is underway, with service expected to begin in 2022.

The company first launched in 2018. Travel agents can access the company's new portal at gobrightline.com/travel-agents.
