Carriers' New $10 Charge for LAX Passengers

Effective immediately, all United Airlines and US Air passengers originating at Los Angeles International Airport will incur a $10 surcharge . Dow Jones News-wires reports the fee is to offset a $10 million rent increase by Los Angeles World Airports. A lawsuit against Los Angeles World Airports is pending.
