Enterprise Rent-A-Car Expands to Vietnam

Enterprise Holdings has announced that its Enterprise Rent-A-Car brand is now available in Vietnam for the first time. The business will operate from Ho Chi Minh City and will focus on building a base of corporate customers looking for long-term chauffeured rentals.

Enterprise’s expansion follows the appointment of Vietnam-based MP Logistics as its franchise partner last year. During Enterprise’s first year in Vietnam, it will grow its base from MP Logistics’ current customers and the employees of multinational companies operating in Vietnam. MP Logistics estimated that Enterprise’s target audience, international customers living and working in Ho Chi Minh City, typically rent a vehicle from one to five years, usually with a local driver as chauffeur.

As Enterprise’s business grows, it plans to introduce its other car rental brands, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car. The company also expects to expand its services to include short-term, chauffeur-driven options; self-drive rentals; and leisure travel to tourist destinations like Da Nang.

The company’s expansion to Vietnam is part of a larger effort to grow throughout Asia and the Pacific. Enterprise Holdings plans to do this through partnerships with major regional businesses, as it did with MP Logistics in Vietnam. Already, it has expanded to Cebu in the Philippines, with branches at the international airport and two home-city locations.
