Eurail Celebrates 60 Years With New Rail Planner App

Travelers embarking on a European adventure this summer can now plan a trip with greater ease and flexibility with the latest Rail Planner App from Eurail. The modified version presents a new, sleek look and user-friendly interface, making it easier than ever to explore, plan and book train routes accepted on the Eurail network.

With the new “My Trip” section, travelers are given additional flexibility and are able to clearly determine which trains require reservations. For digital nomads, the app works offline, too, making it the ultimate travel tool for your next adventure. Key features include:

  • Find train times with Eurail’s new-look journey planner – With the new app, only trains that are included in the Eurail Pass network and accept a Eurail pass are featured. The new functionality also makes it clearer when it’s required to book additional seat reservations, ensuring travelers are prepared.
  • Plan your route and track it on the map in My Trip – With the new “My Trip” section, travelers can save their upcoming journey from the planner and see their whole route as a day-by-day itinerary. The journey will be automatically organized by travel day, providing a quick and easy reference point. The routes can also be tracked on the map, making it easier to track distance and edit routes if plans change.
  • Save money with extra benefits and discounts – Traveling with Eurail includes discounts and extra benefits on ferries, accommodation, attractions and more all across Europe to maximize your experience. The new Rail Planner App allows you to search by country and find out where you can save money just by showing the Pass or pre-ordering online.
  • New countries included for seat e-reservations – Taking a train that asks for a reservation? For many popular international routes, as well as trains in France, Italy, Germany, Sweden and the popular Glacier Express in Switzerland, it’s easy to go online and purchase seat reservations straight from the app and receive them by e-mail.

The new Rail Planner App is available for iPhone and Android. For more information, visit www.eurail.com.
