Expedia Unveils New Business Web Site

Expedia Corporate Travel launched a redesigned corporate travel management web site with new, on-demand searching and booking tools. The site contains new tools to guide business travelers through the booking process. The site now includes Trip Central, a home page that welcomes users with a dashboard that includes travelers' customized travel information. Complete details for a pending trip are highlighted on Trip Central for individual business travelers, allowing them to see and make online itinerary changes. Travelers now also can see and exchange unused airline tickets online. Ticket credits are highlighted and easy to see when travelers are on their customized Trip Central page. Automatic links are available to online airline check-ins, so business travelers can obtain boarding passes in advance. Search enhancements include additional flights that bookers may have missed in standard searches, such as sold-out flights; in addition, users can see how many seats are left for a flight before booking. The new tool shows premium economy class bookings, which offer more space and at a better price than business class.
