Holland America Launches Youth-Oriented Culinary Arts Center

The Culinary Arts Center was launched as part of Holland America's $225 million Signature of Excellence initiative-now the popular cuisine program has been broadened to include a younger set. The line has launched a kid and teen Culinary Arts Center, which will offer classes that teach children how to cook dishes from breakfast to dinner. "Learning about the culinary arts and cooking isn't just for adults," said Richard Meadows, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Holland America. The program will launch this summer as part of Club HAL, the line's children's program. Each class will be approximately 45 minutes in length and be offered on all of Holland America's 13 ships.
