JetBlue Announces Boston-Newark Service Increase

BostonStarting early May 2011, as it continues to develop its Boston market, JetBlue Airways will add 39 nonstop destinations from Boston's Logan International Airport and complement its JFK service with four daily flights to Newark to run 10 daily flights to the New York City area.

The United States Department of Transportation reported that, in 2010's first quarter, the average airfare paid by Boston-Newark travelers was $280. This figure is higher than the average fare paid by Boston travelers on any of the six coast-to-coast routes operated by JetBlue.

This fall, the airline will add nonstop routes to Phoenix, Sarasota Bradenton, Florida, and seven daily roundtrips to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, slated to begin November 1.
