San Antonio Announces First Flights to Europe

San Antonio International Airport (SAT) has announced first ever seasonal, nonstop flights to Europe, which will begin service May 17, 2024. Condor Airlines will fly non-stop to Frankfurt Airport (FRA) in Germany, which connects to dozens of destinations throughout Europe and beyond.

Tickets for the flights to SAT’s 42nd nonstop destination are currently on sale. The new seasonal service will operate from May 17-September 6.

The new route will be serviced on Condor’s brand new, fuel-efficient Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, sporting Condor’s striped livery. The aircraft reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by 20 percent; it additionally consumes just a half a gallon of fuel per passenger, per 62 miles flown—well below the industry average. It is the first aircraft in the world already certified for the regulatory reduction in CO2 emissions, which will be required by 2028, and that subsequently will reduce travelers’ environmental footprint.

The A330neo will accommodate 310 passengers, with 30 seats in Business, 64 seats in Premium Economy and 216 seats in Economy class. The A330neo sports a quiet Airspace cabin, more personal space, larger overhead bins, a new lighting system, and the latest in-flight entertainment systems and connectivity.

The A330neo Condor Business Class offers 30, lie-flat seats in a 1-2-1 configuration with direct aisle access for all guests. The seat converts to a 76-inch long by 19-inch-wide bed. Business Class guests have access to the latest movies, series, podcasts and games, all accessible on a 17.3-inch screen in 4K mode, with touchscreen and remote control. The first row of Business Class will also offer four “Prime Seats” with added space large enough to accommodate two guests who wish to dine together and an extra large, 24-inch entertainment screen. The “Prime Seats” will also include added in-flight amenities such as a premium travel kit, inflight pajamas and a premium snack basket.

Initially, Condor will operate three days a week at SAT:

Mondays:

  • Depart SAT at 10:05 p.m.; arrive at FRA at 3:20 p.m. the next day
  • Depart FRA at 3:40 p.m.; arrive at SAT at 8:05 p.m.

Wednesdays/Fridays:

  • Depart SAT at 8:25 p.m.; arrive at FRA at 1:40 p.m. the next day
