SAS reports it will launch its new service class concept on June 9. This new service class concept was developed in close dialogue with SAS customers and employees, SAS says.
“The service classes that were created 30 years ago do not reflect the needs of the modern traveller. Time is now in short supply for most people, and our customers want time efficiency and attractive prices, without any hidden charges. SAS Go and SAS Plus meet both of these needs,” says Rickard Gustafson, President & CEO

Modern passengers want simplicity and convenience on their journeys, both when they are travelling for business or pleasure. These two new attractive service classes we are launching give these passengers exactly what they want,” Gustafson said
Economy will change its name to SAS Go, Economy Extra to SAS Plus and Business will now be called SAS Business. New features for SAS Plus include access to SAS Lounges, 200 percent EuroBonus Points and priority baggage.
SAS Plus passengers get even better value for money, up to 30 percent lower prices than today’s price level. In Europe, the change to SAS Go and SAS Plus also includes a brand new concept on board, with the traditional airplane tray being replaced by an onboard cafe, SAS says.
The launch of Our Cafe will mean that all passengers on board are being offered the same range of food and drink. For SAS Plus customers, the meal is free of charge.
“Our Cafe is inspired by small cafes with fresh ingredients. We have put a lot of time and effort into choosing the right ingredients and right preparation methods, as pressure at 10,000 metres can affect, for example, salt content and moisture,” says Joakim Landholm, Executive Vice-President Commercial.
