Starting August 1, 2014, Singapore Airlines will start to deploy the world’s largest aircraft on selected flights to and from the Chinese capital.
Guests will be able to fly the double decker A380, which has a capacity of 471 seats.
Singapore Airlines will utilize the airplane on certain flights: Flight SQ802 departing Singapore at 8:30am arriving in Beijing at 2:40pm and the return SQ807 flight, departing Beijing at 4:35pm and arriving in Singapore at 10:55pm. This service will replace two flights operating with a smaller aircraft, and Beijing Capital International Airport will be served three times per day.
Beijing will be the second city in China to receive the Singapore Airlines A380 airplane, after Shanghai. The airline already deploys the plane to a further twelve cities internationally, including Hong Kong, Frankfurt, London, Los Angeles, Melbourne (until October 25, 2014), Mumbai, New Delhi, New York, Paris, Sydney, Tokyo Narita and Zurich.
