TAM Airlines Expands Network

TAM Brazilian Airlines is starting daily nonstop flights between Miami and Manaus using A320 Airbus aircraft that will link Miami to Manaus and Belem, the Amazon's two major cities. The new route puts Manaus and the Amazon just more than five hours from the U.S., says Jose Sampol, the carrier's general manager. "North American travelers may now easily explore the many tourism attractions of the world's greatest river, plus Belem and Fortaleza on Brazil's fast-developing coast," Sampol says.
