Travelport ViewTrip Gains New Air Partners

Travelport has partnered with several new carriers to provide an efficient, online passenger check-in facility for travellers with Apollo, Galileo, and Worldspan-created itineraries. Royal Brunei, Royal Jordanian, Gulf Air and the LAN Group are amongst the latest airlines to implement Travelport’s ViewTrip Online Check-In service. The new carriers add to the growing list of airlines from around the world who are leveraging the tool to streamline their passenger check-in process, Travelport says.

In addition to these carriers, Online Check-In is available with British Airways, Delta Air Lines, Frontier, Midwest Airlines, SWISS, Flybe, United, Air Canada, Ukraine International, Turkish Airways, bmi, Virgin Atlantic and Virgin America, bringing the total number of participating carriers worldwide to 20, Travelport reports.

By providing Online Check-In capabilities for travellers with Travelport-booked flights, Online Check-In with ViewTrip allows airlines to check-in more passengers online, thus easing lengthy check-in queues and reducing the costs and resources associated with managing passenger check-in at the airport.

“We are proud to support our airline partners with a service that saves them money and enhances the overall travel experience,” said Dan Westbrook, vice president, Americas, Supplier Services at Travelport. “The fact that we now have carriers from every region across the globe using Travelport ViewTrip is evidence of the tangible benefits of this tool.”

Links to the Online Check-In service of participating airlines is conveniently included in a passenger’s booking confirmation. Other services provided by ViewTrip include flight and gate information, maps and driving directions.
