United Launches Flights to Chicago from Pensacola, FL

Pensacola Gulf Coast Regional Airport (PNS) will welcome United Airlines' daily nonstop service to Chicago's O'Hare International Airport (ORD) beginning November 4. Tickets went on sale Saturday, April 17, and the daily United Express flight operated by Express Jet will be on a 50-seat, Embraer ERJ-145 jet.

"Weekend service to Chicago began February 13,  and our goal was to support expanded daily service," said Pensacola Mayor Mike Wiggins. "The weekend service was a success and it soon became a priority to allow for more efficient business travel and connections to major domestic and international commercial centers. United's expanded service will re-establish daily connectivity and access to one of the country's most significant transportation hub and Pensacola's airport adds to the strength and significance of the Gulf Coast market," said Pensacola Mayor Mike Wiggins.

Flights will depart Chicago at 1:10 p.m. and land in Pensacola at 3:29 p.m. Return service leaves Pensacola at 4 p.m. and arrives in Chicago at 6:18 p.m.

United Airlines recently entered the Pensacola Gulf Coast market in February 2010 with two daily departures to Washington Dulles International Airport.
