Virgin Atlantic Unveils Latest Additions to Its Fleet

Virgin Atlantic has unveiled the first of four new Airbus A330-200s to its fleet, with the remaining three to make their debuts by spring. The four aircraft, named Daydream Believer, Scarlett O’Hara, Honky Tonk Woman and Strawberry Fields, each have 287 seats and are fully Wi-Fi enabled. They will initially operate flights from Manchester to New York, Boston, San Francisco and Barbados.

They offer a choice of 19 fully flat beds in Upper Class, 45 extra legroom economy seats, and 222 economy seats—all with Zodiac inflight entertainment showing over 600 hours of films, TV shows and music.

The Upper Class cabin introduces three new seat styles for Virgin Atlantic customers to choose from—the Love Suite, the Freedom Solo Suite and the Corner Solo Suite—all with direct aisle access. The Love Suite is located in the center of the cabin and ideal for couples or groups traveling and looking to dine and watch movies together. The Solo Freedom Suite lets customers unwind and stretch out with direct aisle access, while the Solo Corner Suite provides customers with extra privacy and a great view.

Customers in Upper Class will be able to select options from a special barista-style coffee menu, in addition to receiving an improved amenity kit and complimentary messaging.

The A330-200s will also be fitted with Virgin Atlantic’s premium economy cabin towards the end of 2018, featuring the signature Wander Wall, which is filled with snacks.
