Two Million Tourists Visit Cuba This Year

The Caribbean Net News is reporting that Cuba has reached the 2 million mark in arrivals for the sixth year in a row. This time, however, it reached the milestone two weeks before the date when the number was reached last year.

The island’s Tourism Ministry noted the significance of this achievement, which is especially important amid the world economic crisis and fears of H1N1 virus, according to a report in the Granma newspaper. Cuba is experiencing an accumulated 3.9 percent increase in arrivals.
