Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki and Golf Club Names New Front Office Manager

francis youngThe Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki and Golf Club is pleased to announce the promotion of Francis Young to front office manager. He will be responsible for the overall operations of the Front Office Team, including the Concierge, PBX, Bell Desk, and the Ilima Club Lounge.

“With 29 years of hotel industry experience, Francis brings outstanding skills and knowledge to the position,” said Wade Gesteuyala, hotel manager for the Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki and Golf Club, in a written release. “We truly believe he will serve a prominent role in the continued growth of our company .”

Young has been with Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki and Golf Club since October 2012, and previously held the title of assistant front office manager. He was recently selected as an Honorable Mention for Manager of the Year at Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association’s 2014 Na Po‘e Pa‘ahana Awards in January and has won Manager of the Quarter at Prince Resorts Hawaii twice in 2013.

Prior to his work at the hotel, Young served as the Front Services Manager and Assistant Rooms Director with assignments in Hyatt Regency Waikiki, Orlando, and Greenville, Front Office Manager for Sheraton Maui, and Assistant General Manager for Hilton Grand Vacations Company.

Young was born in Tokyo, Japan and moved to Hawai‘i when he was eight years old. He graduated from the University of Hawai‘i with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the School of Travel Industry Management and speaks fluent Japanese.
