Downtown Las Vegas just got a new hotel: the Downtown Grand.
The new, 634-room property has 600 new slot machines, 30 table games, a sports book and walk-up gaming and dining windows along 3rd Street.

The hotel has five dining options. The Triple George Grill is a San Francisco-style steakhouse with a secondary emphasis on seafood. Stewart + Ogden is a diner bistro offering both classic and more adventurous takes on traditional American cuisine. Red Mansion, the property's Chinese restaurant, offers Hong Kong-style and fusion dishes by local chef Can Duong. Guests who want something quick can try The Spread for deli-style sandwiches or Pizza Rock for pizza. Finally, Art Bar offers a selection of cocktails and quick bites framed by mini-exhibits.
In addition to Art Bar, other night life options at the new hotel include the property's signature Mob Bar, a flapper-style environment that has handcrafted cocktails and live entertainment. Ninth Island has an indoor / outdoor walk-up counter that serves daiquiris and other Hawaiian-inspired drinks, and Furnace, the casino bar, has quick drinks near the casino floor.

Looking ahead to the spring of 2014, the Downtown Grand plans to debut PICNIC, an Urban Rooftop Pool Retreat. While the pool is open to hotel guests now, spring will see the opening of a rooftop bar on the third floor of the casino tower, as well as an outdoor tent with communal picnic tables, live blackjack and entertainment.
