Tropical Storm Watch Continues for U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico

The National Weather Service reported earlier this morning that Tropical Depression Ana is “racing west through the local Caribbean waters and could dissipate later today.”

A Tropical Storm watch continues for all of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  At around 8 a.m. this morning, the center of Ana was located about 70 miles south of St. Croix and about 140 miles south-southeast of San Juan. The heavy rainfall, gusty winds and dangerous lightning are all expected to diminish across the local area through the early afternoon as Ana exits the region.
