Apple Vacations announced its 2019 Crystal Apple Award Winners Monday night at its Golden Apple Gala held at Theatre on the Lake in Chicago.
The recipients of the 2019Crystal Apple Award are:

- Best Adults Only – Iberostar Grand Hotel Rose Hall, Jamaica
- Best All-Inclusive Resort – Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa
Best Staff and Service Mexico – TRS Yucatan Hotel, Riviera Maya
Best Staff and Service Caribbean – Riu Palace Jamaica
Best Staff and Service Hawaii – Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort
- Best Staff and Service Central America – Riu Palace Costa Rica
Best All-Inclusive Family Resort – Barceló Maya Palace, Riviera Maya
Best Entertainment – Hard Rock Hotel Cancun
Best All-Inclusive Dining Experience – El Dorado Royale, a Spa Resort by Karisma, Riviera Maya
- Best Overall Airline Experience – American Airlines
- Best Destination – Puerto Vallarta-Riviera Nayarit
The Crystal Apple Awards honor the hotels and brands that earn exceptional ratings on the company’s post-vacation surveys, as well as those that display quality and innovation.
In 2019, Apple Vacations awarded 229 hotels throughout Mexico, the Caribbean, Costa Rica and Hawaii with its Golden Apple Award for high levels of excellence. According to Apple Vacations, travel agents report that the Golden Apple designation builds consumer confidence and has a major influence on hotel purchase decisions.
The Apple Vacations Golden Apple Gala was held at Chicago’s Theatre on the Lake where the honorees enjoyed dinner and a fireworks show over Chicago’s lakefront. Guests included several hotel owners, CEOs and presidents, and tourism dignitaries, including the Honorable Francisco Javier Garcia, Dominican Republic Minster of Tourism, and Minister German Ralis, State of Jalisco (Mexico) Minister of Tourism.
On Tuesday, Apple Leisure Group Vacations hosted its first Ascend trade show, engaging more than 950 travel agents at Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. International and domestic representatives from major airlines, ground operators, tourism boards and hotels networked with retailers and disseminated materials at 110 booths.
