Collinson Launches New COVID-19 Self-Test Kit

Travel test provider Collinson has introduced self-test kit as a solution for U.S. travelers returning to the country. These FDA-approved antigen testing kits can be delivered or picked up in person at Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) airport. This allows travelers to conveniently test themselves from their current location—such as the comfort of their hotel room or Airbnb—without having to travel to a healthcare facility that may be situated in a remote area.

Scheduling a supervised antigen video self-test can also "remove stress and concern before the return leg of their journey." The self-test kits can be ordered online and include everything customers need to complete and return the kit to be processed. It is recommended that customers order their test kit at least five to seven days before the date of departure.

The first step is to purchase the test and schedule the appointment for their supervised session. After receiving the kit, customers are required to register it with Collinson and follow the step-by-step instructions provided. After taking the test, they should upload the results. Customers will also be asked to provide a picture of their passport after taking the test, as well as fill out an online form verifying personal details. They will be notified via email within 24 hours of official results via a digital certificate from Collinson.

Collinson launched the U.K.’s first facility last summer at Heathrow airport. With testing numbers skyrocketing as more people look to return to travel, Collinson’s self-test solution was developed in response to public demand. The change in consumer demand and market requirements show that there is a desire from U.S. consumers for at-home and in-destination testing kits due to their quick turnaround time.

The company has expanded with a global footprint of testing facilities with convenient testing in Asia, the U.K. and the U.S., and continues to offer a range of in-person COVID-19 testing solutions for pre-departure and post-arrival at its facilities at DFW, including PCR and antigen.
