Cruise Planners Launches New Travel Advisor Marketing Tools

Cruise Planners, an American Express Travel Representative, has released new marketing tools for its travel advisors. The new features deliver enhanced capability to micro-target direct mail and email marketing efforts, Cruise Planners said.

“We have always been able to segment clients, but now we have the ability to send impactful emails and direct mailers using geo-targets, past travel preferences and repeat customers or new-to-brand,” said Michelle Fee, CEO and founder of Cruise Planners, in a written statement. Fee also noted that the company’s in-house marketing team initiates all marketing in order to free up time for its travel advisors.

Cruise Planners said it serves up a list of clients to its advisors that best match the criteria for the marketing effort. The new micro-targeting feature is meant to complement the organization’s other data tools, which include:

  • CP Insights - solutions that incorporate economic, demographic and behavioral segmentation to target clients at the right time with relevant promotions, sales and marketing pieces.
  • Hot Lists - tool allowing travel advisors to engage with their clients at the tap of a button to help fulfill celebration travel for life’s milestone moments
  • CP View - tool to help agents match sailings and itineraries with special audiences based on customer data, sales trends and consumer behavior suggesting clients that would be ideal targets for select itineraries. The Cruise Planners system generates a marketing communication to facilitate new business.
