Ovation Reports Growth in Independent Advisors

Ovation Travel Group is reporting growth among its independent advisors. The independent travel management company has announced that, since the beginning of 2018, its leisure travel services division has added 24 Principal Independent Advisors (IAs) representing more than 40 advisors in both the United States and the United Kingdom, who are now part of Ovation. Ovation said that most are long-established travel advisors, although the company’s luxury division has also succeeded in attracting new-to-the-industry travel advisors by working with them to develop their business.

The vast majority of those advisors have come aboard since Gina Gabbard and Tina Rose joined the company 15 months ago. Rose serves as Ovation’s managing director in London, while Gabbard is Ovation’s senior vice president of leisure and independent advisors. Ovation brought Gabbard onboard in 2018 to manage the resources that support the company’s independent travel advisor network. Her hiring was part of a plan to put more focus and resources behind its luxury/leisure/independent side, the company said at the time.

Notable independent advisors who have joined Ovation recently, all veterans in the industry, are Robert A. Goldstein, Victoria Metcalfe, Marielle Rishty, Laurie Robinson, Harlee Rosenberg and Andrew Steinberg of New York City, and Fiona Bayne and Karen Newton of London.
