Scootaround Launches Travel Advisor Program for Mobile Travel Rentals

Scootaround, a personal transportation solutions company, offering rental, sales, and repair services for scooters, personal chairs, powerchairs, and rollators at over 2,500 locations across North America and Europe, announced its new loyalty programs for travel partners and advisors at its first travel partner Open House at the Alfond Inn in Winter Park, FL.

As a provider of personal transportation solutions for travelers with limited mobility, Scootaround demonstrated how travel advisors could provide more value to clients with mobility challenges by helping them rent mobility aids and also announced two major partner programs as a way for travel advisors and hospitality industry members to not only assist clients with mobility challenges but to earn commissions.

The Scootaround Travel Agent Partner Program provides a commission to travel and hospitality industry members when they refer successful vacation rentals to Scootaround products. The travel agent partner program provides affiliates with a Scootaround Reward Number (SRN). It is free to anyone in the concierge, hospitality, or travel industry, including hotel chains, travel advisors, transportation providers, and hospitals. Scootaround accepts bookings up to a year in advance.

The Blue Star Travel Agent Program allows advisors to become certified and earn more. This online course provides advisors with a more profound knowledge of the specific requirements for passengers with limited mobility, allowing them to serve this rapidly growing travel market segment.

Elvis Aguilera, Scootaround director of sales for North America, and Sylvia Longmire, Scootaround Rewards Network Program coordinator, kicked off the event with a 30-minute presentation on the company’s history, products, and services during a catered lunch.

Members of the WHILL team (the company that makes the Model C2 and Model F, two of Scootaround’s rental devices) demonstrated how to use and disassemble several types of scooters and power chairs.

“As a user of the product, I know first-hand the positive impact Scootaround and WHILL can have on a person’s ability to travel and enjoy their adventures,” said Longmire. “Since travel agents open the door to traveling with mobility issues, we’re thrilled to introduce the Blue Star Travel Agent Program to certify and reward agents who help their clients pursue a well-planned adventure.” For more on the programs for travel advisors go to https://scootaround.com/en/srn
