Korean Air Offers More Flights to Canada

July 20, 2009 By: Megan Stride

Korean Air is now offering more seats from Toronto and Vancouver, thanks to Canada's freshly completed open skies agreement with Korea.

The Blue Sky air transport agreement allows airlines from both countries to operate as frequently as desired, flying to and from any point in either country.

Korean Air will begin offering daily flights to Toronto August 14, up from the previous four weekly flights, and will add an additional 200 seats to Vancouver each week.

"With this additional service, Seoul and over 35 cities in China and Southeast Asia will be more accessible to more Canadian travelers," says Korean Air’s Americas marketing director, John Jackson. "Canada has a very large potential for us. We’re anticipating increased growth and popularity because of the new Open Skies accord and are preparing for it."
