Whistler Launches New Summer Campaign

HillsTourism Whistler is encouraging potential visitors to explore their personal connection with the resort after unveiling their new “lost and found” themed summer marketing campaign.

Alongside a summer video that will be used in sales and marketing initiatives, there is a new website that will focus on visuals and user-friendly tools that will aid visitors in booking their vacation. Whistler.com will act as an official online guide to Whistler and the central reservations for the resort. It was also built using responsive web design and is adaptable to any browser size, so it can be easily used by all mobile devices, including smart phones and tablets

Whistler is enjoying the success from record breaking back-to-back seasons. Winter 2013/ 14 was up by three per cent over the previous winter, in terms of room nights booked, making it the strongest winter on record. As well, summer 2013 outperformed the previous summer, by eight per cent, in terms of room nights booked, and stands as the resort’s busiest summer on record. Summer 2013 showed increases in all performance measures, outperforming the 10-year average. Summer 2014 is expected to be another strong season for Whistler.

To support their summer marketing initiative, Tourism Whistler has launched the Discover Summer in Whistler contest. Guests will have the opportunity to win the ultimate summer package. All they have to do is select from one of the three custom itineraries they would like to win. Each consists of seven days of sightseeing, relaxation and adventure and also includes airfare and accommodation, alongside an array of activity and dining options.
