Ikon Pass has added Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley in France, Sun Valley in Idaho and Snowbasin in Utah, besides two new pass options—two- and three-day Ikon Session Passes—for winter 22/23. Passes go on sale March 10, 2022.
Members of the Ikon Pass community will have access to 50 mountain destinations in 10 countries across the Americas, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. With the new partner additions for 22/23, Ikon Pass offers the most access to Utah with six destinations within 100 miles of each other, plus increased access in the Pacific and Northwest with five destinations, and now four premier destinations in the European Alps.
Claiming its spot under the highest mountain in western Europe, Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley is a popular destination in the French Alps. Adventure seekers can explore the five areas within Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley—Grands Montets, Balme (Le Tour/Vallorcine), Brévent, Félgère and Les Houches. Ikon Pass holders will have access to seven days combined across the five mountains of Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley with no blackout dates, while Ikon Base Pass holders will have access to five days combined, with select blackout dates. Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley is not available on the Ikon Session Pass.
Besides the “Ikon Session Pass 4-Day,” new two- and three-day options are available for skiers and riders. The Ikon Session Pass offers access to 37 destinations with select blackout dates and benefits. Prices start at $249. Access for these passes does not include Aspen Snowmass, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Resort, Alta Ski Area, Snowbird, Sun Valley, Snowbasin, Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley, Dolomiti Superski, Kitzbühel, Zermatt and Thredbo.
Sun Valley in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho is steeped in over 85 years of ski lore. With two mountains, 3,400 vertical feet and over 2,000 acres of terrain, Sun Valley offers a big-mountain experience coupled with a long-standing heritage of excellence and guest service. Ikon Pass holders will have access to seven days at Sun Valley with no blackout dates, while Ikon Base Pass holders will have access to five days, with select blackout dates, with the upgrade to the Ikon Base Plus Pass. Sun Valley is not available on the Ikon Session Pass.
Adding to Ikon Pass’ list of destinations in Utah, Snowbasin in the Wasatch Range, just 45 minutes from Salt Lake International Airport, offers 3,000 skiable acres and 3,000 vertical feet. It also played host to the 2002 Winter Olympics and is known for wide-open bowls, gladed runs, manicured groomers and ease of access. Ikon Pass holders will have access to seven days at Snowbasin with no blackout dates, while Ikon Base Pass holders will have access to five days, with select blackout dates with the upgrade to the Ikon Base Plus Pass. Snowbasin is not available on the Ikon Session Pass.

For the winter 22/23 season, certain destinations have been added to the Ikon Base Plus Pass. For an additional $200 from the Ikon Base Pass, Ikon Base Plus Pass holders will get five-day access at each: Aspen Snowmass, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Resort, Sun Valley, Snowbasin, and Alta-Snowbird (combined). Aspen Snowmass, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Resort, Sun Valley, Snowbasin, and Alta are not available on the Ikon Base Pass. Snowbird will have five days on the Ikon Base Pass, blackouts apply.
