Mexico’s Banyan Tree Veya Appoints Heriberto Peña as Spa Manager

Banyan Tree Veya, Valle de Guadalupe, the first Banyan Tree Veya to open in the Americas and only the second in the world, has unveiled its wellness programming, which will be helmed by Spa Manager Heriberto Peña. The resort is set to open in the hills of Baja California in spring 2024.

Joining Banyan Tree Veya, Valle de Guadalupe to lead Veya Spa and its well-being programming is Spa & Gallery Manager Heriberto Peña. With over a decade of experience in the luxury spa and wellness sector, Peña most recently served as wellness assistant manager at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island, as well as Four Seasons Peninsula Papagayo in Costa Rica for eight years on the spa and well-being team. A passionate leader, Peña has spent time in India and Thailand to study Eastern medicine and philosophy, and is consistently striving to further his education in the world of wellness, with certifications in meditation, herbology, sound healing therapy, reiki, crystal healing, yoga, and more.

“I draw inspiration from nature and trusting the advantages of a healthy lifestyle,” said Peña. “My goal is to assist others in achieving a harmonious state of mind, sparking that same inspiration within them, as we are all interconnected with our natural surroundings and I’m thrilled to be able to do that at Banyan Tree Veya, Valle de Guadalupe.”
