The Palazzo’s New Pool Club is Latest Las Vegas News

Travelers headed to Las Vegas this summer take note: The Palazzo Las Vegas is debuting a new challenger in Sin City’s competitive pool scene.

Named The Aquatic Club, the new day club pool experience is set to debut this April with a design that draws inspiration from vintage social and athletic clubs. Pool staff will be styled in Tory Burch swimwear, and a range of retro-inspired music will include everything from jazz to 80s pop to hip-hop. The pool deck will host different experiences every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, which guests can enjoy from art-adorned cabanas while sipping throwback cocktails like the Bees Knees Red Snapper or the Frozen Mule.

Fridays will serve as a kickoff to the weekend, with the music focusing on hip-hop, Afro Cuban and global beats. Saturdays will celebrate retro-inspired music with “pop up” moments, such as surprise performances from synchronized swimmers, while Sundays will host live acoustic music that changes to tranquil electronica, plus a Bloody Mary bar and poolside spa treatments.

For food, guests will be able to enjoy options from Wolfgang Puck, including sushi, salads and the chef’s signature pizzas. In addition to the retro cocktails, the drinks menu will also include glamorous takes on contemporary cocktails, as well as throwback snacks from The Prohibition Treat Trike, like spiked ice cream bars and boozy ice pops.

The Aquatic Club will be open Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. through 6 p.m. All guests must be 21 years of age and older. Travel agents can make reservations by calling 866.834.2319.

The Latest in Las Vegas Pools

When it opens the new pool will be the latest addition to Las Vegas’ booming pool scene. While The Aquatic Club wasn’t open in time to be eligible for competition, our Cool Pool of the World March Madness-inspired bracket currently has three Las Vegas pools vying for supremacy. Out of 16 remaining competitors, that makes Las Vegas the most successful city in the competition thus far.

Las Vegas pools currently in contention include The Golden Nugget Las Vegas, which is famous for the $30 million shark tank in the center that’s home to five species of sharks and an array of game fish. The Encore Beach Club at Wynn Las Vegas, another dayclub, has parties hosted by live DJs, cabanas with views of the Strip and three tiered pools surrounded by palm trees. The last contender, Mandalay Bay, brings two pool options: an 11-acre tropical water environment with a wave pool (up to six-foot waves), and a top-optional adult pool.

Other notable members of the Las Vegas pool scene include the South Beach-inspired Sky Beach Club at Tropicana Las Vegas, the Linq Pool, which overlooks the High Roller and LINQ Promenade, and multiple pool options at Aria Resort and Casino, Bellagio, Caesars Palace and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
